New Chapter

I am delighted to have good news to share with you this week. In April I plan to leave the NHS. Having worked for 34 years as a Physio I am officially retiring but I see it as closing the chapter on the NHS to focus my mind on PilatesbyPhysiotherapy. I am very excited!! I feel extremely lucky to have reached this point in my career remembering especially three very close colleagues who are not around to say farewell.

Having worked in Private Practice alongside the NHS at several points in my career I am looking forwards to not juggling the two together. My desire to make a difference to as many lives as possible has kept me working in the NHS. Leaving now as we try to pick ourselves up and design a new service feels right. Lessons learned over the past year will shape how things work in the future. Coping with the backlog of care not delivered since the start of the Pandemic is something I cannot get my head around easily. Best leave it to younger minds!!

We have kept up the creative side of life this week with an Easter Egg competition in the Physio dept. I hope those of you who have had competitions to enter have enjoyed yourselves.

Archie taught himself a new game this week. Having learned that cups are hot so he needs to stay away he has shocked himself to discover that some cups are cold and can be played with!!! Luckily he can tell the difference between hot and cold.

Do keep an eye on the Easter Timetable and book yourselves into a convenient class. The flexibility of Online classes live and On-Demand is a real bonus so please do make the most of it and get onto your mat at some stage over Easter.

Take Care, Stay Safe
