Thank you to everyone who has signed up to the Live Classes. We have just a couple of spaces left so if anyone would like to try one out do get in touch. As we all learn how to balance the new restrictions with what we would like to be doing I feel very lucky to be seeing so many of you either on Zoom or in the flesh on a regular basis.
We have a lot to learn about delivering live classes from our mat. Taking away the ‘hands on’ aspect of the class is taking some getting used to but I’m sure with practice we will work things out !!! I can feel the urge to use a long stick to encourage those ribs up into lifted side lying position !!
There was Good news from Uk Active last week.
They published Data from over 1500 Physical Fitness facilities across the nation showing that the prevalence of the virus within Physical Fitness facilities remains extremely low. Measured from 25 July to 13 September 2020 the prevalence rate across the UK Fitness facilities was 0.35 per 100,000 visits. Over 24 million visits to fitness facilities have been recorded yielding just 78 positive results. These cases were not explicitly linked to transmission within the gyms .
UK Active is a not for profit Organisation that exists to improve the health of the nation by getting more people, more active, more often. Data like this helps us feel confident that the Social Distancing, Ventilation, Cleaning and Health Checks that we have in place will keep us and our clients safe as we deliver the benefits of exercise in the face to face environment that many of you want. Hopefully providing on line and live Pilates will keep the business alive until such time we can all be back in the studio again. I’m hopeful that day will come but the uncertainty of the current situation means I take nothing for granted and will continue to do my best to provide a positive Pilates experience for as many of you as possible.
We have tried something different with the Videos this week. Please do let me know your thoughts as it is your feedback that motivates and guides us. This week’s video focuses on the Knee Joint. It is not just for those of you with knee pain but is suitable for everyone. We are happy to put together other more specific videos if that is something you would enjoy.
I hope you are all ok and making the most of the sunny days !
Anne
