Please get in touch via wix if you want to move to a different class. Please spread the word to your friends and family that we have spaces available. As Physiotherapists we enjoy the challenge of making our Pilates classes unique and tailored to each client individually. Please do speak to your Pilates teacher or send us a message via wix if you have any concerns about your progress in the class or want to make sure that the exercises are targeting your needs. Pilates is a great way to improve posture and balance, deep muscle strength and flexibility. I believe the body awareness that Pilates brings is a great foundation for an active lifestyle. The Mind and Body connection brings calmness into this busy world.
We all enjoy seeing our clients improve and progress. Pilates By Physiotherapy is thirteen years old this September. I love teaching Pilates but it is you, the clients that make me smile each week. I love hearing your stories. Again this year we have children (and grandchildren) starting school, moving to secondary school, leaving school and leaving home! Babies being born, musical and sporting success and some disappointments along the way! Thank goodness Middlesbrough didn't meet Sunderland in the play offs . I hope Boro will have better success this year. I'm even finally beginning to pick up some understanding of cricket.
We have had our share of ill health this year too. I hope all of you facing illness will be back at Pilates as soon as you are able. Those of you who are back well done and thank you for sharing your journey with us. Each of you is very special and a real inspiration. I and all the physios feel very privileged to be part of your lives.
We have a few clients and Rachel Smith doing the Great North Run this year. Below is a link to Claire’s story. It was Karen’s watchful eye that helped Claire realise that all was not well with her hip .

If you would like to know more about Claire and donate to Sarcoma UK please follow the link to her Just Giving page
Good luck to everyone for this new academic year. I know some client's family members are doing the GNR for great causes including Dementia UK, Parkinson's UK , Blood Cancer UK . If any of those charities are close to your heart and you would like to sponsor them please let me know and I will send you the link.
Please remember to make the most of your subscription and use the videos as a perfect option to maintain your Pilates practice during the week.
Take Care
Anne, Anna, Beth, Rachel, Karen and Tricia
