Save the Date !

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a meal and get together at Antico (Nevilles Cross) on Thursday 23rd November at 7.30 pm I can’t believe a year has gone by since we gathered at Jay’s Indian to celebrate 10 years of Pilates By Physiotherapy. That was a really good evening, enjoyed by all who attended so I hope you will find the time to come along this year to. It’s great to see so many of you not in your Pilates kit and to be able to chat and catch up with each other is a real pleasure. Menus etc will follow nearer the time so please just make a note of the date!!

During my holiday in September I found myself working with bones in a very different way. While helping Mike with his roof work I found a couple of the bones used to hold the stone roof tiles in place. Only a small number were still intact but definitely recognisable as bones!!

The roof is nearly watertight and then I will definitely get my strength training as the tiles go back on !!

This week is World Bone and Joint Week. This gives us all an opportunity to reflect on our Musculo skeletal health. Your bone and joint health isn’t simply about your bones and joints, it’s about your whole life. Read More by clicking link below

Remember a couple of simple things

Make all or part of your walk as brisk as you can

Aim to do 10,000 steps on at least 3 days of the week

Avoid prolonged periods of sitting

Include some strengthening activities in your week (specific exercise / gardening / carrying heavy shopping bags)

Drink water regularly

I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful colours of autumn and as the dark nights creep in maybe you will find time for some Pilates on your mat at home (now over 130 videos to chose from)

Hope to see you at the meal in November

Anne
